What did you learn/notice in your exploration of webcasting tools? How
will these tools be useful in your educational activities?
I noticed that webcasting channels and webcasters range on a variety of different categories and genres. I learned that it's not so difficult to start your own podcast. I used to think that podcasts and podcasters had to have a certain reputation before they could broadcast their podcast. That is, until I learned that YouTube is a medium for podcasting. If you watch Jenna Marbles or Tyler Oakley, essentially they are internet celebrities who made it big by podcasting their thoughts and opinions. I have already used podcasts so much in my education by watching instructional videos and TED Talks online.
How are these creative knowledge expression tools different from other collaborative/communication tools or the collective knowledge building tools you have explored?
Jing and Screenr are different from collaborative/communication tools because you have to create content on your own and post them to a separate Web 2.0 website that others can collaborate and comment on. Jing and Screenr are more personal creative tools.
How could you add this to your PLE? Will you?
I won't be adding it to my PLE because I have no need to share video or audio demonstrations.
